All courses are taught in our dedicated Cookery School, with state-of-the-art kitchens, high-quality ingredients and the support and guidance of friendly, experienced instructors.
We provide all necessary ingredients and equipment, along with delicious refreshments. Plus, you get to take home your culinary creations at the end of the course to impress your family and enjoy in the comfort of your home.
The courses start at 10:30am, and we welcome guests from 10:00am for refreshments.
We will welcome you with a delicious warm pastry, fresh from our Craft Bakery, accompanied by tea or coffee; later, we will break for a two-course lunch featuring a dish that celebrates the season's flavours, and a glass of wine. This is followed by a Bettys dessert – after all, it isn’t Bettys without a sweet treat!
All course days are a mixture of tutor demonstration (where you will be seated around the demo bench), followed by practical sessions when you will work independently, recreating the recipes. You will have your course recipe (with any notes you have added) to work from, and throughout the practical sessions the tutors are always available to offer advice and assistance when required.
Practical Courses (10.30am-4.30pm)
Enjoy a day of cooking at your own workstation in our well-equipped kitchen, under the friendly eye of our expert tutor. We welcome guests from 10:00am for refreshments, with the course starting at 10:30am.
Everything that you need for your course will be provided – a printed recipe, ingredients, refreshments, and packaging for your items. At the end of each course (unless otherwise stated) you will take home the dishes you have made, along with new knowledge and skills that will last a lifetime. We recommend that you bring a suitable sturdy outer bag(s) or a cool box to transport your dishes home.
